Welcome to The Birds of Avon web site. This site was created to give a history of the birds recorded in the Avon area. We hope you find it useful.
Many thanks to all those that send in records and allow photographs to be used.
A lot of work has gone into producing the Avon Bird Reports, over many years, as well as 'The Birds of Avon - an Annotated Checklist' by Rich Mielcarek- a big thank you to all those involved in those, which have allowed this website to be created, especially Harvey Rose, the long-term editor of the bird reports.
